Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna Announces New Board Members

(Bel Air, MD) – Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna, the ecumenical non-profit housing organization devoted to building, renovating and repairing homes in partnership with low-income families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie York and Sarah Colenda to the Board of Directors.

Katie York, a resident of Aberdeen, MD, is Program Specialist in Health Care Careers at Cecil College in North East, MD. York is also a member of both the Committee on Nursing and Allied Health and the Administrative Professional Organization. York says of her appointment to the board, “As someone who lives in Harford County and works in Cecil County, I feel it is imperative to increase awareness of Habitat in my local community, both in regards to fundraising efforts and potential homeowners. I look forward to being able to give back to an organization that has been so kind to my family.”

 

Sarah Colenda, a resident of Perryville, MD, is the Executive Director of the Principio Furnace Foundation, Inc in Perryville. Colenda is also a member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Vice President of the Cecil College Board of Trustees and Liaison to Cecil College Foundation, President Elect of the Rotary Club of North East, and is Vice-President of the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenways’ Board of Directors, to name just a few.

 

Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna, Inc. (HHS) is an ecumenical Christian housing organization devoted to building, renovating and repairing homes in partnership with qualified families in Cecil and Harford Counties.
