Harford Living Treasure Celebrates 94th Birthday

Darcy Lloyd was born on March 19, 1917 and credits her longevity to English muffins and being a 'homebody' most of her life.

"As I move along in the 'process' I find that being a homebody now fits my life even more, because I don't miss a lot of things, like traveling and being out and about a lot," she told me at the luncheon. "I love my life, just fine."

She married the love of her life when she was 18. "I loved him at first sight, he was six years older than me, I was 15 and he didn't have a car, and lived in Whiteford."

Darcy is sharp as a tack and one of the most engaging conversationalists I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

After the lunch a portrait of three generations of Lloyd's was made, topping off a nice day. Our best wishes go out to Darcy for continued good health and well-being.

Chad, This is a nice story about Mrs. Lloyd. My very best to her! We need to hear more possitive stories like this and less of violence and negativity. That is the real pulse of our country. The average hard working person is happy with their life and the blessings of good health, family and friends. Nancy P. Rose

Darcy is my isMother-in-law and she has always had so much energy. She and Bud Lloyd raised a wonderful family and she has been an inspiration to all. Jeanne Holl
