Two Men Suspected of Robbing CVS Are Charged
One of the men has a preliminary hearing scheduled in May.
Two men suspected of robbing the CVS Pharmacy in the 1200 block of Churchville Road have been charged.
David Lawrence Eichelberger III, 19, of the 800 block of Lancaster Drive in Bel Air and Brandon Lee Rutledge, 25, of the 4500 block of Madonna Road in Jarrettsville, have been charged with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft between $10,000 and $100,000.
Police said Eichelberger was involved in the April 6 robbery of the store. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 12 at 11 a.m. at the District Court for Harford County. Rutledge is allegedly involved in the Dec. 15 and April 6 robberies of the store.
In an unrelated incident, Rutledge was also recently charged with first-degree burglary and theft less than $1,000.
The Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriff's Office executed simultaneous search warrants at the men’s respective homes April 12, one day after receiving an anonymous tip.
An Airsoft pistol and prescription medications were seized during the arrests, police said.
CORRECTION: Two of the charges listed for Rutledge were not previously distinguished as belonging to a separate incident. Rutledge and Eichelberger face identical charges for their alleged involvement in the CVS robberies.
