Police Arrest Teen Suspects in Abingdon Target Robbery

Two boys face charges of armed robbery and assault.

Two Aberdeen boys have been arrested on charges related to an April 23 robbery in the parking lot of the Abingdon Target.

Rajaun Donte Lifford, 16, and an unidentified juvenile both  have been charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, felony handgun use in a violent crime, concealing a dangerous weapon and theft less than $1,000.

Lifford is being charged as an adult and was transported to the Harford County Detention Center. The other teen was transported to Charles Hickey School in Baltimore County.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office used surveillance photos from Target security cameras and “several anonymous tips from concerned citizens” to identify the suspects, according to a press release.

Nick, you should learn to read. That was an idiotic comment. The first sentence of the article clearly states that the two boys were from Aberdeen, not Edgewood. The location of the crime is Abingdon, not Edgewood. Believe me, all those people who live in Constant Friendship will be more than happy to tell you that they don't live in Edgewood.

Thank you, John for clarifying the article with Nick. Reading Comprehension is a "pet peeve" of mine.

Tonnette--life is all about choices. Hopefully your son will learn from this experience and realize that the people he chooses as friends are a reflection of himself. Best of luck to you and your family.

Certainly, Tonnette. There are always two sides to every story and I'm glad to hear that you son regrets doing this...hopefully this experience will prevent him from committing a worse crime down the road.

I'm suspending user "David Adams" as soon as I write this comment because he's rude and writes racist remarks. That goes against both our Terms of Use (http://belair.patch.com/terms) and common sense policies. -BG

Hope you are right that he has learned a lesson here. I always told my son that if he's with someone who's doing something wrong, he's going to thought of a guilty "by association". As for your son "being mouthy" kids have to learn respect. Respect thier parents, elders, AND the police.
I'm talking about kids in general here.

It's too late for apologies. This poor woman has had a gun stuck in her face, probably thought she was going to die. She will have this traumatic memory the rest of her life. These little thugs are just bullies for picking on the weak people in society.

If you are the good boy your associates say you are, you would have walked away when your friend said, "Lets rob someone with this gun". You wouldn't be in trouble now. BTW, The thugs always say, " My friend talked me into it ".

They both should spend, at minimum, ten years behind bars. They both pre-meditated to go rob someone with a gun. It wasn't some innocent "My son is a good boy, he didn't mean no harm", thing. They thought they would get some easy money with a gun and got caught. Hooray. Thank the Lord before they actually shot someone. Let this be a lesson to all the other potential robber thugs out there.
