BBQ Bash Gets Cooking In Bel Air

The Maryland State BBQ Bash in Bel Air runs from 4-10 p.m. today (Friday) and noon-10 p.m. Saturday.

The delicious aroma of barbecue wafted through the air in Bel Air Friday afternoon as vendors prepared for the Maryland State BBQ Bash kickoff.

Now in its 11th year, the barbecue-themed street festival runs from 4-10 p.m. today and noon until 10 p.m. Saturday.

The bash features food, craft and business vendors, events for kids, live music and a beer and wine garden.

Vendors were already on site Friday afternoon, preparing food and setting up tables.

Check out the schedules for the full breakdown of what's happening at the bash and when.

Are you going to the bash? What's your favorite part?

I think this will be the first year since I was in high school that I am going to miss the BBQ Bash. That makes me sad.

I feel like the whole event has gotten more and more disappointing by the year. I could swear there were more true BBQ vendors in the earlier years of the event. Really, REALLY disappointed the last couple of years. I'd much rather take a ride to Magoos, or Steel Horse, or a longer trek down to Andy Nelson's or Harborque. Definitely not going this year...

I know Andy Nelson's doesn't participate anymore, that is sad Kaitlyn! Awesome Q & put all these other so BBQ's to shame. Well worth the trip to Hunt Valley anytime rather than waiting for this & the lame vendors of the last few years, I agree E Dub.
