Leslie, I know what you mean. Have worked with law enforcement in the past and while there are many good folks who work there, there are a number of police officers with don't do their jobs. Some seem to think they are entitled to behave a certain way or that they are above the law.

No surprise there. I was threatened by a young man with a gun (the boyfriend of a neighbor's daughter) some years ago, in the early afternoon on a weekday, and it took more than 40 minutes for a deputy to get there.
Public safety in this County is a joke, and everyone knows it. Calling 911 is like rolling the dice in Vegas. Just last night, I was having dinner at the Olive Tree in Aberdeen, and the party at the next table (about ten people) were discussing how they all hoped they never have to call 911 for a fire or police or medical emergency

In reference to the burglaries, Harford county Sherriff's shouldn't have so many cars at the WaWa located at Conowingo Rd/Belair Bypass. I've seen as many as 5 police cars after midnight, on any given night there. I'm a police officer also and where I work, we're certainly not allowed to have that many cars in one place. A disgrace to law enforcement and lack of supervision.

I know exactly where you're talking. I worked night shift, and would do 2am runs there nightly.... yes multiple and sometime more than 5. They would get coffee, and congregate in the side parking lot. Chatting aid such.
