Bel Air Officials To Discuss Town Noise Regulations
The Bel Air Board of Commissioners meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month, including Nov. 19.
You may soon have to be more conscious to keep it down in Bel Air.
Bel Air town officials are considering changes to town noise regulations that would include noise vibrations as a violation. The legislation is on the agenda for the Monday night meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall, 39 N. Hickory Ave.
Bel Air Police Chief Leo Matrangola explained at last week's work session that officers have been faced with situations where they can hear and feel loud music, but the decibel level did not exceed the acceptable level, according to an ExploreHarford.com story.
The proposed changes would make it illegal for noise vibrations—heavy enough to move objects or for someone to feel—to extend beyond a person's property line.
