Bret Michaels Playing in Fallston Wednesday Night
The private event is taking place at the Mallet.
Bret Michaels of the band Poison is performing Wednesday night in Fallston, though the host business won't offer many more details.

A tour bus for Michaels, who most recently gained fame for his VH1 show Rock of Love has been parked outside the Mallet at the corner of Maryland Route 152 and U.S. Route 1 since at least 3:30 p.m.
"It's a private event," said Christa Rossi, a manager who was in the restaurant Wednesday afternoon. "Come back tomorrow and see what happened."
The Baltimore Sun reported that the Harford County Liquor Control Board was not notified of the private event.
Rossi would not confirm that Michaels was playing, but another employee dressed with a "Mallet" collared shirt confirmed the rock star would perform. The employee declined to identify themselves or say when the show was scheduled to begin, but said the party was for about 275 people.
The seafood restaurant opened Labor Day weekend.

The Sun/Aegis is reporting the liquor board isn't happy about this party of not being notified, since they're supposed to be told if part of a public restaurant is closed for a party and security concerns.... http://www.baltimoresun.com/explore/harford/news/community/ph-ag-surprise-party-0916-20110914,0,2526858.story

Its funny how another "the law doesn't apply to me" because "I can buy myself another politician" moment is associated with Harford's infamous, wheeler-dealer, developer tycoon, and robber baron - Mickey Euler.
If in doubt,as they say, follow the money.

It's the responsibility of the restaurant to notify the liquor board, and it's none of your business how Michael Euler spends his money. It was a wonderful surprise for his beautiful wife.

I agree. If he wants to have a party, and he can pay for it good for him.

I agree. What is it anyone's business how this rich guy spends his money. Sounds like the restaurant is the one who made a mistake here not Euler. From what I've read this has placed them on pretty thin ice with the liquor board but I fail to see how Euler did anything wrong. He wanted to do something nice for his wife. So what? If you think his business dealings are unethical or illegal then by all means provide proof of this and I would take you seriously, otherwise don't slander this man because he wanted to do something nice for his wife and has the means to do so.

Harford county is reduced to making "news" out of a birthday party in a public establishment that was rented for a celebration. That is pretty sad.

Hi, Theresa, the news element is the fact that the lead singer of Poison was in Harford County, not that there was a birthday party. If there wasn't a celebrity involved, you would be 100 percent correct. Thanks for reading, and if you were there, I hope it was fun! -BG

You are correct. Nonetheless, a little bit of the celebrity infused with it did ignite a fire in some. I just believe that it was harmless in the scheme of things.

I think it was an awesome gift—definitely harmless. The man is free to spend his hard-earned money however he wants. Better on his wife than just about anything else. I feel bad for her, though. How is she going to make it up to him? (Just kidding.) -BG

I don't think it's even his band member.
