that seems to be a dangerous part of the road..........rte 24 in that area is so confusing to much ....................traffic coming off of 95, mergeing lanes , lane to stay on 24 and lanes turn off to Belair such a mess .......took so long to fix it and just made it worse so sorry little one God now has anothe lil angel

Laura how can you say the child died? She has been stabilized by UCMC and taken to the Pediatric Trauma Center. And that is directly from Harford County EMS. You shouldn't post anything unless you are absolutly poaitive of your information!!!!!!

Oh and one other thing the accident happened on I-95N not on 24.

Absolutely heart warming that the child is still with us!

In all fairness, Harford Fire Blog reported the child died.

Was reported on their Facebook page early this morning.

Thank you to our First Responders. I am sure it is due to their life saving efforts that
this child is still with us, and hopefully will make a complete and speedy recovery.

There were many things posted this morning stating that this was a fatal accident which a child was involved. I am soo happy to hear that is actually not the case.

I think there was some confusion by a post on Harford Fire Blog. They reported a fatality AND the child was in trauma arrest. Not sure who the fatality was (and am praying for the family) - this update doesn't mention one, thankfully - but I don't believe HFB was posting that the child had passed. It was just the way it appeared from the post.

This is terrible that someone falsely posted the death if this child. I lost my 7 year old in a tragic car accident in 2005. I cannot imagine if someone in the family or a friend had read this. Please leave reports like this to the professionals from now on people. My prayers are with this family that everyone makes a full recovery.

The problem is that news sites such as Patch want to be the first to get out the news, and we as the readers all want to comment. Right or wrong information is spread, and it is not always valid. Most readers post speculation, rumors, political views, or just personal opinions. Then it speads like wild fire. In this case, I would assume (see I am doing it too) since it was listed as a fatal, an assumption was made and the commentor posted about a death. Maybe it is not true. Maybe the person posting has first hand knowledge, such as a hospital worker. We just don't know. And by us commentting our thought, ideas, and rumors, only serves to stir the pot. This is a problem with sites like this. It will not change, as long as we (commentors) are allowed blurt out anything we want to. So we might as well get use to it.
My prayers go out to all families involved.

It was reported in the news this morning that the crash WAS fatal. Stop being so negative. Try being positive. It's what's wrong with our world today...

Harford county sheriff was on location duing CPR. He is happy that the child is stable. Great job to the officer.

Only law enforcement can report a fatality to the media so in the future don't believe it unless you know the source. Lets take this time to pray for the family as they remain critical instead of wasting it talking about Laura. I'm sure she has learned a lesson from this situation.

I saw this on the news this morning and it bothered me all day. I was so worried about this family. I have a two year old grandson and another one on the way. I called my daughter last night and told her to stay home today, it's just not worth risking your life or your babies lives driving on these bad days. I hope everything's okay for this family.

Lets not post what you may or may not have heard from a "nurse friend". Its a violation of federal law for healthcare professionals to hand out information like that. Unless you would like to be part of the reason they get fired or lose their license, just keep it to yourself.

@gabriel..how does what she wears be an issue with this accident? i seen her page and from i see is a loving mother who just bought a beautiful home and is caring for her girls..maybe she may have been driving fast but noone knows yet..as i have learned from earlier u cant believe everything that is reported. what if she wasnt going fast??? what if she hit a patch of ice and her car slid??? right now this mother and her girls who had been moving up to better things are now fighting for their lives..keep them in ur thoughts and prayers..and FYI the youngest hasnt passed she is still fighting!

When someone who dresses this way in front of there kids and has a picture of a 12 pack in the front seat of there car on facebook, this does not show responsibility. So why should they show responsibility when driving? From all the news articles and from what i know of that entrance, you have to be going fast to slide. She might be caring but there is more then caring when parenting. The little one might be on life support but just because someone is on life support does not mean they are alive. Only God can heal and i do go to church every Sunday so i will pray. Do me a favor, if you don't go to church then don't pray because there no substance in it.

I am her cousin, denia was a loving and responsible single mother. She just bought her own house recently. And just got a raise at her job. Her younger daughter did not make it, god rest her soul. Denia and her older daughter are still in critical condition, but will recover. Denia just found out about her daughter. She slid on ice, and lost control, reports say she was driving to fast for the bad road conditions, which doesnt mean she was speeding.

Sorry for your loss and as i have said may she rest in peace. I only report the truth and how i see it but hopefully her loss can help others who are in need. I didn't expect family members to be in here but this is an open board and i do have the right to make a comment on what i believe in. Of course no parent would want that to happen to there child but we all need to slow down in life. @ anonymous i don't need to mind my business. Mom wearing mini skirt is just not cool. I went to Ms. Denia's page and I concluded quite differently than you. I see a loving mother who just bought a home to provide a better life for her family. She is an attractive, single woman who should be able to show a little skin when she's going out. I am a mother of a 5 month old and have an 8 yr old stepdaughter. I like to show a little skin when I go out and am married. Am I a bad mother setting a bad example? I think not! My stepdaughter's mom is single and I fully believe she should be able to dress sexy when she goes out. AND I also lost a son 20 months ago. If this young mother lost her daughter, I pray for her peace and comfort. No one should go through the pain I losing a child. My heart breaks for her and her family because not just the parents suffer.

The true Gospel is that the Lord loves us sooooooo much, he would do anything for us to be with him (Our totally undeserved, wicked, sinful souls) He send His Son to live on this earth for only but a short moment to tell us how to truly live, and to love, then He died for us. He payed a debt that could never be payed. That, along with love, kindness, and generosity is the gospel.
The health wealth and prosperity gospel is a shame. Believing in the Lord will not make you rich, the Word does say he will protect you, but sometimes undesired things happen to make you draw closer to Him, amung other reasons.

Now i understand how the little girl has come to be in her situation. Basically the seat belt choked her as she was not in a proper car seat/booster seat. Loss of air to the brain for a prolong time can cause damage to the brain. If anything slow down your life and think about your kids safety in all areas of there life. We all make mistakes and im not saying she is a bad mom but again we need act like parents when we have kids. Also when someone is in stable condition it does not mean they are safe by any means. Stable can mean many things to different people. You can be alive or dead and still be in stable condition. Just because your blood pressure or heart are stable does not mean your alive. But only Jesus can bring her back and i will continue to pray.

don't know why my last post was deleted. Many accidents can occur due to not using your seat belt correctly. Children should have a booster seat at this age and to make sure the belt fits correctly so not to injure them but to protect them. We all need to stop and think and make sure we are doing things correct to make sure our kids are truly safe.

I can speak first hand I was married to Denia for 14 years and she is an excellent mother has always tried her best to provide for her children. I just want to say that let the family be no one should have to read this ridiculous comments at a time like this. I love her her and could only imagine how she would feel if she saw these comments and garbage that is posted on this sites. Not all of the loss are bad and I thank you for the people who posted nice things and the prayers and thoughts you have sent out to the family. Everyone is totally devastated on what happened and I can tell you that Denia is probably the most devastated. My heart and her heart are broken into. a million pieces. Our little angel Marissa is in heaven know watching over our family and we all love and miss her so much! As you can see the dad is not in the picture for some reason and that's usually how it is with spanish families. Too many mommies.
