Deck the House Contest: This House Could Win $100,000 for Harford Schools
This house is one of the 25 finalists in Patch’s Deck the House contest. Vote now to help this entry win $100,000 for Harford County schools.
Could this be the best “decked” house in the country?
Possibly.
Congrats to Evan Kirkendall for being chosen as one of the 25 finalists in our Deck the House contest.
We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors.
We loved seeing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest—and it could be a home from right here in Bel Air.
Until Dec. 28, vote in our contest to help this entry win $100,000 for Harford County local school district.
All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 29, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.
So, now’s your chance to tell us who has the best “decked” house in the country. Vote today!
Editor's note: The voting deadline has been updated.

How can we vote for this house when your site has been down most of the day? Please fix soon, we want Harford County to win!

I got word the site wasn't actually calculating votes of those who voted in round 1. Patch is extending the voting to Dec. 28 as a result. I want Harford to win too!

There are two homes along Rte. 155 that are amazing - there are several others right in the same area completely decked out. It almost seems like they've created thier own contest. If you're heading to HdG for any reason consider taking 155 instead of 22...really quite something to see.

We ought to have our own local contest, rather than a national. Put a pool of money together to help pay for the winner's electric bill!!! Think I'll check out the place on 543.

Seriously SH - there are two homes on 155 a half mile after the split between 155 and 22 heading towards HdG or Aberdeen. There's also a couple runner ups in the same section - if you know where the little dairy is on the left - the one that sits in that hilly section in that area - the lights made even more effective because the homes are spaced farther apart therefore it's darker. One guy in particular has completely lost his mind. Total fun!!!
