One local family is housing a frightened dog they found off Vale Road in Bel Air Thursday.
Angela Meraglia Tilley posted on the Bel Air Patch Facebook page Thursday after her husband found the boxer mix running near Yankee Doodle Drive in the Marywood Development in Bel Air.
The dog had a broken chain leash and a choker collar, but no identification.
"She is sweet and frightened. I know she would be much happier at home," Tilley wrote.
She and her family are keeping the dog safe and sound at their home.
While there was a dog reported went missing in the Bel Air area on Wednesday, these are two different dogs.
Do you recognize this dog? Can you help reunite her with her owners?

Did you take her to a vet? She may have an identification chip that will show up when dog is scanned.

UPDATE: no, Terri, we did not take her to the vet. I thought about the chip, but everything was closed by the time we found her Thursday. We kept her in the house Thursday night, me sleeping in our basement with her because we couldn't trust her with our dog. We surrendered her to the Humane Society yesterday because we just didn't know her well enough to trust her in our house alone and it's too hot to keep her outside or in the garage. We received a call today with a lead. We saw that the Humane Society has removed her posting, so it must have been a good lead! Yeah! We are so happy Sox (as we called her) found her family. She was so sweet to our family (except our dog), and it was a hard decision to surrender her, but it was all for the best and it seems to have worked out for the best. Thank you, Patch, you are the reason they called me!!!
