When he met Shawn Forton recently, Terrell Suggs wanted to shake Forton's hand.

Four times.

The Havre de Grace artist's portrait of the Ravens star linebacker was so impressive to Suggs that the candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year couldn't stop thanking Forton. And in a continued show of appreciation and awe for Forton's work, Suggs requested 10 copies of the drawing.

Forton, a 2002 graduate of Havre de Grace High School and a member of the Susquehanna Hose Company, has always been an incredible artist. Recently, he's taken his love for drawing and sports and combined them in a series of Ravens-related portraits.

Ironically, it all started with a commissioned Steelers drawing.

"After I was done doing it, I liked how it turned out. I made 10 copies. Well in about 30 minutes, all ten copies were gone," Forton told Patch. "So I made more and then they were gone too. Then I decided to do a Ravens theme and they sold like wildfire."

Forton is selling the copies for $25 each—or $40 framed. He has copies of a signed Suggs drawing for $35—or $50 framed.

"I will also have several more coming of different players," Forton said.

Check out the photos with this post for examples of what Forton has done so far.

Information on how to purchase the drawings can be found on Forton's Facebook page.

The pictures on the Patch don't do Shawn's artwork justice. To see his work up close is truly amazing. The amount of detail that goes into every piece shows just how talented he really is. Expect big things to come from Shawn in the future because his talent will only grow!
