The North Harford High School classroom helper charged with sex abuse admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old North Harford student, charging documents state.
Amanda K. Miller, 35, of the 4500 block of Flintville Road in Whiteford, is charged with sex abuse of a minor, third-degree sex offense and two counts of fourth-degree sex offense, court records show.
Miller told investigators from the Harford County Child Advocacy Center, a unit that specializes in investigating mistreatment of children, that she had exchanged nude photos and had sex with a 15-year-old boy who is in tenth grade at the school where she teaches, according to charging documents.

I feel she was a good person and attended many events in Harford County. However, that fact that the minor was 2 years old when she graduated is disgusting. Have an affair, but not with a child. I know he probably understood what he was doing. However, how would you feel if it was your son in High School having sex with a 35 year old. I am a Mother of twin sons age 8 and girl age 5. She total f*** up her life, it is a shame for her children.

It is disgusting! BUT this 15 year old boy new what he was doing. Not that it makes it right. I would never look at a 15 year old KID and think, hmmm, I want to have sex with that KID. But, who are we to judge.

That's why it is illegal. No 15-year old, NONE, can fully understand the affect this will have on them. They are not fully mature, mentally or physically, and although they may consent, the child is the VICTIM.

Miller is employed as an inclusion helper who works one-on-one or with small groups of students with special needs. She is part of the school's special education team. The 15-year-old in question was not a special needs student, however, I am told by police.

Snake.i somewhat agree. But he knew and she knew this was wrong in the eyes of the law he's a minor. Bad judgement on both sides.they both need counseling.too bad in our society we. I know the woman and it was a total shock! No one could have imagined that she would have done this! Her family is suffering....there is no excuse for this! I am sick of hearing everyone say that it was consensual! Really?? Why is it treated differently when a woman is involved?? Teenage boys mature a lot slower than girls so please explain "consensual". I am sure it is a dream for some teenagers to "hook up" with a teacher but it is the responsibility of the "adult" to not allow this type of behavior! Shame on her for being so stupid and messing up her childrens lives!

I don't get something... How come if he killed her he would be charged as an adult, but because he had sex with her he is considered a minor. He should be charged with having sex with a desperate and stupid adult.
