Harford Sheriff To Discuss Bel Air Concerns Saturday
The Harford County Sheriff's Office's town hall meeting, which was canceled due to inclement weather, is rescheduled for this Saturday.
This weekend Sheriff L. Jesse Bane is expected to discuss crime, public safety and concerns of the Bel Air area at a town hall meeting.
The event was initially scheduled to take place Jan. 21, but snow and icy conditions led Sheriff L. Jesse Bane to cancel the meeting.
The Harford County Sheriff's Office town hall meeting for Bel Air South is now scheduled to take place Saturday at the Abingdon Branch of the Harford County Public Library.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at 9 a.m. The primary purpose of the town meeting is to develop cooperative partnerships within communities and address community quality of life concerns, according to the sheriff's office.
In the meeting, the sheriff plans to provide information on crime statistics and trends in local communities, crime prevention and drug awareness, an update on the Harford County Detention Center expansion, the new Southern Precinct project and other community concerns.

Will someone please ask Bane about Mark Forwood? How can Jesse Bane stop crime on the streets when he doesn't even recognize crime in his department. For those who may not remember, Mark Forwood was Jesse Bane's hand picked 3rd in command that was found guilty of various crimes. Unfortunately Jesse Bane covered it up at the expense of taxpayer dollars and safety until the night before the election. When will the Bel Air boys club stop covering for Jesse Bane?

I think we need to discuss more about the crimes in the SEASONS area and why that part of 22 needs to be demolished. No more section 8 in Bel Air please!!! Its hurting our County Seat!!!

If one of the topics is going to be an expansion of a precinct why not put one in the greenbrier shopping center! I bet a lot would change!!

i have lived in the bel air area most of my life. Forest Hill is my mailing address. I have noticed a lot of the changes to the bel air area over the last several years. While i am 30 years old, i have still noticed a lot lol. Forest Hill believe it or not is a whole different world from Bel Air. I came from a home where we could leave the house without locking our doors. Since moving out and now on my own thats a little bit different but the neighborhood i live in is very peaceful and quiet. As something to organize to make the community safer and more family friendly, safe etc... I am all ears. What do you have in mind??
