When Hickory opens go there and you will see why, this owner keeps clean stores, fresh food, and a friendly staff who want return customers.
how do I know? Because I work for him at the Churchville location and I will put our store up against any corporate store

Fast food chains thrive because they're cheap and fast. They profit based on the quantity of food sold. If you want to pay more and/or wait longer, there are plenty of other options around.

Can anyone tell my why when you get a value meal that comes with a coffee that you can't substitute a hot tea without getting an "up charge". I hate fast food and wonder why we can't get a up scale restaurant that isn't a chain.!

I would say that is likely what stops most people from opening that upscale restaurant. Lack of money to complete the marketing study that would indicate whether such a business might be successful in that vicinity. Apparently, McDoanld's does not suffer from an empty wallet...

I worked for lozinak back in the 90's at the rock spring store, Terri! I'm not questioning his cleanliness! It's the fact that we do not need another McDonald's 3 miles down the street!!

Obesity is a problem when you eat TOO MUCH high-fat / high-sugar food without doing anything to off-set it. Eating a fast food burger and fries alone isn't going to kill you. Eating a lot of them and sitting on your rear too much... that might play a role in killing you. Let's stop blaming everyone else for what people do to themselves...

You can eat at Mcdonalds and not get fat or be unhealthy--- you just need to order items which are NOT junk. My kids get a side salad and a cheeseburger instead of a happy meal. They never complain and are happy with the "treat" ... Lozinak family does a great job with cleanliness and food safety. I also don't wish to see more STUFF being built in Hickory. I remember fondly when it was just Bob's Deli, Village Video, Citgo and when Wawa was a huge deal to have. But if they must build it, then be glad it is a Lozinak store and not a McDonald's corporate store.
