The sun sets over Wegmans and the Boulevard at Box Hill shopping center where JC Penney will soon be.

After much anticipation, the leasing agency for Boulevard at Box Hill announced JC Penney will join Wegmans as the second anchor to the developing Abingdon shopping center.

MacKenzie Retail LLC, the leasing agent, announced the newcomer to Boulevard at Box Hill on Thursday. The 85,775-square-foot location is expected open this fall, according to a press release from MacKenzie Retail.

“We look forward to welcoming JC Penney to our growing community. Their commitment to style and quality will complement our existing tenant mix helping Box Hill to elevate to our target audience’s high expectations,” MacKenzie Retail Senior Vice President Thomas L. Fidler Jr. said in a press release.

The store will join Wegmans, Joe’s Crab Shack, Panera Bread and PNC Bank in the developing shopping center.

I am so excited that JC Penny is coming to Bel Air. All I need now is a Kirklands and there will be no need to go any place else. YAH

Yup, this is great. Still want to know if Cheesecake Factory is coming. Haven't heard anything about that in awhile now, which makes me think they are not coming to the Bvld. Your right we still need a Kirklands and then no more White Marsh.

Yeah we need more stores besides just teen shops. I use to love Harford Mall but it seems it is catering to more 16 yr olds.
