I was that rider!

I received blunt force aka a handlebar end right into my groin/hip causing severe internal Bleeding. I was extremely lucky, had the impact been one inch towards my groin it would have scored a direct hit on the artery and there would have been a strong Chance that I Could have bled out internally at the scene. I spent the next 24 hours in a lot of pain in the hospital. Now on bed rest for another few days and will be out of physical action for best part of a Month. My hip, groin and thigh is black..... My
Wife is grossed out.... Use your imagination.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved in my rescue, I had passed out from the pain and shock and had no chance of making it out the valley without the amazing help of the rangers and fire crew. My memory of it all is hazy but I know they had a monster task getting me out. Words can't describe how grateful I am! I would also like to thank the local biker who stayed with me after my riding partner went for help. What a great community we have out here! I feel blessed!

Safe riding everyone!
