Panera Bread is Wegmans' Newest Neighbor

The “bakers of bread” will join Boulevard at Box Hill cornerstone as the final Phase I business in Abingdon’s newest shopping center.

Bread is coming to the plaza atop Merchant Boulevard, according to the site’s leasing agent, Tom Fidler.

Wegmans is scheduled to open Sept. 18 and Joe’s on Oct. 1. and Panera Bread are expected to open in late September or early October, but no specific dates have been announced.

The to the Boulevard at Box Hill is at the Festival shopping center in Bel Air, in the unit block of Bel Air South Parkway.

A Panera Bread spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment.

Discussions for finalizing businesses in Phase II of the project will begin later this summer.
