The Tuesday Farmers' Market opened today in Bel Air for the 2012 season.

Aside from being a bit blustery, the weather cooperated with the market's opening, offering up blue skies and mild temperatures.

Rachel Sawyer with RoCocoa Finales said her price tags kept blowing away in the wind.

"Still, at least it's not raining, and it's the perfect temperature," Sawyers said.

Jen McNew of Churchville was browsing the market with her two young daughters Tuesday. The trio stopped so the girl's could pick out a baked treat from RoCocoa Finales.

"We thought this the perfect way to spend a summer vacation day," Jen McNew said.

Sawyer wrapped up sweet treats for the McNew family and bid them a good afternoon.

"It's been a nice opening," Sawyer said. "We had hoped to be here sooner."

The Tuesday Farmers' Market is located at 33 S. Main St. on the lot that formerly held the BB&T Bank. It is located between the Main Street Tower Restaurant and the Harford County Sheriff's Office headquarters building.

The Tuesday market will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. each Tuesday through Oct. 9.

The Saturday Farmers' Market has been open since the second Saturday in April and runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. through the third Saturday in November.

The Saturday market is located in the parking lot of the Mary Risteau State Office Building at 2 S. Bond Street—the same building that houses Harford County District Court.
