Bank Robber In Neon Safety Vest Eludes Police

Maryland State Police released an additional photo of the man they say robbed the Fallston BB&T Bank at gunpoint Monday.

The gun-wielding man in neon safety vest who robbed the Fallston BB&T Bank Monday remained at large as of Thursday afternoon, police said.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, a man wearing a hard hat and a yellow and orange safety vest walked into the BB&T Bank, located at 1911 Bel Air Road in Fallston, carrying a duffel bag, according to a release from Maryland State Police.

The man pulled a black “bull pup” style shotgun, demanded money and ordered the tellers and customers to the floor, the release states. The armed man then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the teller’s drawers and coin vault, the release continues.

The robber is described as an older, stocky man wearing faded jeans and a gray sweatshirt under the yellow and orange vest, state police said. You can find a surveillance picture of the suspected robber attached to this post.

Police are asking for the community's help in finding the man. Those with information can contact the Bel Air Barrack at 410-879-2101.

If we didn't have tight gun laws here in MD, this guy may have had a gun.....Oh, wait a minute, we do have tight gun laws and this guy still brought a gun to a robbery.

Hey Terry. Does he look like one of them? Have you called the police with this info? The next time- if he robs somebody- he might fire that gun. Would love to see this guy arrested.

I think that was a "bull pup" shotgun, not that it matters much.
