'Ray Lewis' Makes Saturday Night Live Appearance

Baltimore Ravens linebacker 'Ray Lewis' said on SNL he would be heading to a celestial place if the Ravens win the Super Bowl.

It wasn't really Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis appearing on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" over the weekend, but Keenan Thompson stood in effectively.

Thompson played the effusive linebacker to perfection. He brought the energy, the emotion and of course, the face paint. Watch his exchange with SNL's Seth Meyers above.

He finishes it with a bold prediction:

Thompson: Seth, if we win the Super Bowl, I’m gonna go to the 50-yard line of the Superdome, kneel down and then I’m gonna ascend into heaven. I’m going through the roof, Seth. It’s gonna be a sight.

I must admit I loved Keenan Thompson’s impersonation of Ray Lewis. My favorite quote was if they win the Super Bowl, Ray is going to run to the 50-yard line and ascend into heaven. Since I was working late at DISH on Saturday, I didn’t get to see the show live. I did set up my DISH Hopper DVR, so it automatically recorded SNL for me. My whole-home DVR lets us watch a different show in four different rooms, so they don’t have to watch the show over again since they always catch it when it airs.

Thompson’s impression of Ray Lewis was perfect. I like when he mentioned he was going to ascend into heaven if they win the Super Bowl. I couldn’t watch SNL on Saturday seeing as I was working late at DISH. I programmed my DISH Hopper DVR to record the show for me, so I didn’t have to worry about missing it. I like to catch up the next morning since my roommates watch it the night it comes on. It’s nice knowing that my whole-home DVR lets us watch up to 4 programs in different rooms so they’re not forced to watch it again.
