Readers' Choice: Who Offers Best Children's Haircut?

Vote for your favorite place to get your child's hair cut.

You don't have to go far for to find a place to have your child's hair cut when you live in Bel Air.

But which local cuttery is the best in the business when it comes to your child? Vote in the poll to help decide.

Here are some of our favorite places, but if you think someone was left out, be sure to tell us in the comments so we can add them to the list:

If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing by reading this article.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday, and the winner will be announced at noon that day.

  • Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, positive comments below and in reviews on each of the businesses' Patch Places directory listings (you can reach them by clicking on the businesses above).
  • Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

(See attached .pdf document for rules)

Vote for your favorite place to have your child's hair cut in the poll and tell us why you voted the way you did.

Do excellent service, reasonable cost or excellent customer service factor into your decision? Let us know in the comments and leave a review on the Patch business listing.

Be sure to check back next week to vote for the best sandwich in Bel Air.

Infinity is by far heads above the rest. They are professional and personable with my children. Their prices are more than reasonable.

Seems to me if you have to give free cuts to kids in order to get paying adults, your probably not all that Banged up for what's its worth. Just a thought.

Domani Salon is TERRIBLE!!! I would not even take my animal to them let alone my child. Someone is suing them now. Surprised it took this long!

Planet Kids has been closed since August of last year. Rachael, Mindy and myself have moved to Reflections at 309 South Main Street in Bel Air. Our top priority is maintaining a child friendly atmosphere that ensures that the children have a comfortable and enjoyable experience! Flat screen televisions at our hair stations and a play area are provided for their entertainment. Please call 410-838-1155 to schedule your next appointment!

Reflections is fabulous! Shi is WONDERFUL with my boys! She has been cutting their hair for close to 7 years now and I wouldn't take them to any place else. What I love the most about Reflections is that not only do they offer services to children, but they offer top notch service to adults as well. I can go in for a cut and color while my boys get their hair cut as well!

Bel Air Hair Salon. The owner Denise is a Mother of two and great with squirmy children. Sandy is also great with young children and teens.

We LOVE Shi at Reflections! My son will not let anyone cut his hair but Shi. Reflections is child friendly with their kids play area and the individual hair stations with TV's and wide array of DVD's for kids to choose from.

Hey PurpleNeons, Steve Callahan's shop "Just Gents" is a great place for a good haircut. He's at 319 Fulford Ave. in Bel Air, and the phone number is 410-838-7700. Appointments aren't required, but if you make one you'll never have to wait :) he's very good at sticking to his schedule. Best haircut I've ever had!

I voted for Reflections too! We see Rachael, but I have heard great things about Shi too. We followed them from Planet Kids and won't go anywhere else!

My 3 kids, my wife and myself all get our hair done at Reflections. My boys love that they can play video games or watch tv and my daughter can play in the toy area while we wait. They even have flat screen tv's at every station to help occupy them during their cut!

Reflections is the only place I would take my children to I go to melody and she is just amazing with my two boys. Plus they can play video games and watch TV while they wait and get cut. I would refer anyone looking for a great childrends or family salon to reflections.

My vote is for Reflections Salon. Rachael, Mindy and Shi (formerly of the now closed Planet Kids) have many years of experience with kids cuts. My oldest started when he was about 2 yrs old and now at 19 and 16 yrs, my two sons still get their hair cut by Rachael. I have seen these ladies cut kids who are squirming in their moms arms or crying or just not wanting their hair cut. They are patient and caring, taking as much time as necessary to get a great cut for your child, boy or girl. They not only cut kids hair at Reflections, but they do awesome adult hair. Rachael has been my stylist for years. I have thick hair and she knows just how to cut it to take all the weight out. I always get compliments on my hair!! The salon is clean and friendly with flat screens at each station for the kids. The decor is neutral (not super feminine) so I think guys would be very comfortable here, in fact, I often see men getting haircuts.
With prom season coming up, this is a must for your teen sons and daughters. I know quite a few of my son's friends from high school go to Reflections. The owner, Mary, is very friendly and welcoming. In fact, all the stylist are! This is a great family salon located right in the heart of Bel Air (near Looneys). Walk ins are welcome, so check it out!!! And, no I don't work there or have a relative that does. THEY ARE JUST THAT GOOD!!

I vote Infinity Salon and Spa. I have been going there for over a year. They've always been so nice from the first phone call to my checkout time. The staff is amazing. They too have a flat screen TV- but more than that, they are open seven days a week which is very convenient. They have Spa and salon services which also makes my life easier. They also offer me a money saving program where I earn points by spending money, referring friends, and simply making my next appt that day. My whole family now goes there and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Knowing that all the staff are talented and nice is very comforting for those of us who have had bad experiences elsewhere. Kristen who does my facials is the best I have ever been too. We all see different stylists so I feel comfortable telling you they are all good, with kids, women and men.

I have been taking my kids to Great Clips in the Campus Hills shopping Center for years. They are very patient with my kids, I don't need an appointment and it doesn't cost me a fortune.

my vote is for Reflections Hair Salon. The stylists there are the most talented that I have found in the area. I had to travel on business for 3 months and when I was in New York at a high end salon getting a blow out, the stylist commented on how wonderful my haircut was! I love the friendly, family atmosphere and how everybody knows your name when you are there! They make you feel like you are a part of the gang and I feel right at home with my stylist. I know my stylist has done kids but she is fabulous with my cut and color needs! The kids always look so comfortable and happy to be watching TV while getting their cuts.
