Route 23 Reopens After Crash

Police said the incident in Bel Air involved a deer.

 

All lanes are open on MD Route 23 in Bel Air Tuesday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for Maryland State Police. The roadway was completely shut down following a crash before 10 a.m. that involved a deer, according to state police.

The incident was a "serious personal injury accident between Baldwin Mill Road and the Morse Road overpass involving several vehicles and a deer," the Harford County Fire and EMS Association posted on Facebook just before 10 a.m.

Maryland State Police shut down Route 23 for investigation until approximately 11:15 a.m.

I hope person is OK. Them deer are all over the place. And today is election day too. alot of people will be out voting so people should be extra careful when driving and the deer.

Rutting season has started for deer and the bucks will be chasing the doe all over the place, including onto roadways. Drive extra careful and reduce your speed....espcially while driving at night.
