Patrick Xavier Ward's sister was getting married in two weeks, and he was supposed to be in the wedding. Now his mother is hoping to bury him in the suit he would have worn, according to ABC2News.

Ward, who was blind, was fatally stabbed in his apartment Friday night. The Harford County Sheriff's Office arrested 17-year-old suspect Donnell Graham that night.

The Baltimore news station reported that Ward "had a lifetime of medical problems which eventually caused him to go blind."

His mother, Kathleen, told ABC2News that he had cataracts by the time he was 12, and eventually lost the ability to sense any light.

Ward was also close to finishing his education at Harford Community College, his mom told ABC2News.
