For the second time in less than two weeks, the state office building in Bel Air that houses Harford County District Court was evacuated in the wake of a bomb threat—this time for more than two hours Wednesday.
No device or immediate danger was found in the Mary Risteau Multi-Service Center at 2 S. Bond Street on either occasion.
Police helped evacuate the building minutes later, Matrangola said.
Law enforcement searched the building, but no device was found. Around 1:16 p.m. people were allowed to go back inside.
A similar incident took place Jan. 29, but police do not believe the two threats are directly related. The first was made by phone while this afternoon's threat was made in a note left on a parking meter. There are no known suspects in either case, police said.
