3 Flown To Shock Trauma After Rt. 543 Accident

Maryland State Police say eight people were involved in the two-car collision.

Two boys and a 21-year-old man were flown to Maryland Shock Trauma after , according to Maryland State Police.

Rachel Sue Reed, 39, of Conowingo, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier east on Walters Mill Road that was struck by a 2000 Honda Accord operated by Rebecca Lorrene Skrocki, 20, of Bel Air, traveling north on Maryland Route 543.

Maryland State Police said in a release that Reed "has been cited for causing the crash" after the Accord "broadsided" the Cavalier.

An 11-year-old Conowingo boy and 17-year-old Port Deposit boy were flown to Shock Trauma via medevac as a result of the accident. Jeremy Lewis Berry, 21, of Aberdeen, was also flown to Shock Trauma. All three were passengers in the Cavalier.

A 12-year-old Conowingo girl and Kimberly Ann Johnson, 37, of Rising Sun, were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview by ambulance. They were also in the Cavalier.

Jessica Lundquist, 19, of Somerset, MA, was a passenger in the Accord and did not require medical attention. Neither did Skrocki, the Accord driver, nor Reed, the Cavalier driver.

The accident is still under investigation. Route 543 was closed for about an hour after the accident occurred around 3 p.m.
