The Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference sent five teams to the playoffs in 2010; four of them reached the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association region finals.

North Harford went undefeated against UCBAC opponents in the regular season, but like many teams around the conference, the Hawks are looking to replace the talent that graduated last spring.

Havre de Grace reached the state championship for the first time in more than two decades.

But the 2011 season opens with the conference seeking its first state title since 2003—when both Aberdeen and Joppatowne won championships.

Bo Manor, Fallston, Havre de Grace, North Harford and Patterson Mill reached the playoffs in 2010. Since the UCBAC began in 2003-2004, only C. Milton Wright, North East and Harford Tech have failed to reach the MPSSAA Regional playoffs.

Seven teams will compete the Chesapeake Division, and eight in the Susquehanna Division.
