Nearly two years ago, Blockbuster Video in the Bel Air Town Center closed it's doors permanently.

The former video store location at 588 Baltimore Pike now sits vacant—the once video-lined shelves are empty and the drop box defunct.

The property is for lease, signs on the window indicate.

What business do you think would be a good fit for this commercial property? Tell us in the comments.

I second the Trader Joe's comment. Or MOM's Organic Market. Bel Air would really benefit from this type of store and honestly I'm surprised that one of these hasn't been put up there already.

My wife constantly tells me how much she likes Trader Joes. This area should support it and offers more variety.

Well, I was waiting for the ridiculous "Trader Joe's" comment, and I didn't have to wait long...and low and behold, we have 2!
How many sq. ft. total do you think you'd need to open a Trader Joe's? How many sq. ft. do you think Blockbuster occupied? Everytime you run one of these, "What would you like to see in the vacant_________ ?" I love to read the ridiculous answers. Well let me beat some people to the punch....I'd like to see a Cheesecake Factory there. I'd like to see a PF Changs there. I'd like to see a Crate and Barrel there. I'd like to see a Whole Foods there. I'd like to see a Louis Vitton. I'd like to see a Tiffany.

Susan, Don't forget relocating La Tolteca or Auther Treachers or Long John Silvers? Maybe Ruby Tuesdays or Marlin and Rays or Mannys Pizza :-) Grottos Pizza wanted to locate in Bel Air but the state of O'Malley did not make it attractive to move to MD.

Thanks, 703. I also forgot The Cheesecake Factory! I would not have a problem with Grotto's. O'Malley is the absolute worst thing about our state. We are in his path of destruction on his way to the White House...or so he hopes...I pray that won't happen....we will be in an atomic winter by the time we are rid of Barry and his lovely wife Patrick Ewing and her perfect bare arms...

This space has already been leased to Stone's Cove Kitbar. Amen to Susan S. in regards to Trader Joe's. To clear up any confusion, Trader Joe's typical footprint is between 11,000 & 14,000 sf. The former Blockbuster is 5,500 sf. Who needs a Trader Joe's when you have a 125,000 sf Wegman's down the street, anyway???
