Woman Injured in Fall at Kilgore Falls

The woman was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

A 64-year-old woman was injured Thursday in a fall at Kilgore Falls in Pylesville, according to authorities.

Before 1 p.m., an ambulance was called to Kilgore Falls, part of the Falling Branch Area of Rocks State Park, located off Falling Branch Road in Pylesville, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Firefighters from Norrisville, Jarrettsville and Whiteford Volunteer Fire Companies were called to the scene to help get the woman out of the woods safely, according to Gardiner.

Fire department personnel used an ATV and rescue basket to get the woman to the ambulance, Gardiner said.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Gardiner.

Any information if this woman fell off the falls a nearly 20 ft drop, or if she fell on the surrounding rocks etc? Just curious, either way speedy recovery!

I know her injuries were described as minor, which makes a 20-foot drop seem less likely, however I will see if I can further clarify what kind of fall she experience. Thanks for the question! -KD
