When we were younger and someone asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up we would always have an immediate answer. I, personally, dreamed of becoming a wildlife vet. My younger sister wanted to be a candle maker. However, like many of us, I found that the older I got the harder it was to answer that age-old question. 

As college students, now more than ever the question is on our minds. What should I major in? What do I want to do when I graduate? Some of us might know exactly what we want and others might not have the slightest clue. 

My friends and family know about my indecisiveness. I choose quickly and then have a habit of constantly changing my mind. I've considered practically every major out there. I thought about social work, nursing, and graphic design. I even visited a beauty school up in Pikesville to learn about becoming a certified makeup artist.

Sometimes it's best to go into college not knowing what you want to do. I was still going back and forth about pursuing an English major when I first enrolled. However, after taking English 10, I knew that writing was my calling.

It's not always easy to find your passion, it can take time. College will help guide you to the right path for you. When picking a major, consider what classes or topics make you curious. What do you find interesting? What do you want to learn more about? It's important to pick a major that you're happy pursuing. Like I said in my previous blog post, create the life you want to live. 

When you think you find what you're passionate about you'll know it. College is about discovery and throughout these next four years, we will begin to figure who we're meant to be and what we're meant to do.
