So, May is well behind us and the numbers are coming out. Everything looks promising, but is this just the normal annual kick in the pants that the spring/summer brings or is this a sign of encouragement? I think it may be a bit of both. With interest rates as low as you or I are likely to see in our lifetime, the time is now to reap the harvest. Of course there are reasons not everyone is buying or selling. Negative equity is one of the main reasons people are staying put, along with unemployment, an unpredictable economy and a looming presidential election with far reaching consequences. So what do you think? Is the market settling down/improving or do we have time left to suffer?

i am curious about the edgewood area. i have a townhome there and see many for sale signs and next to me is a foreclosure that has been empty for almost two years now. our community is concerned about being able to sell our houses. what are your thoughts?

It all depends when you bought your home and what specific community in Edgewood. Properties are moving well right now if priced properly. Send me an email with your address and I will forward you information.

Nothing personal, but you could not pay me to live in Edgewood.

Nothing personal but you are obnoxious.

How so? Is it obnoxious to not want to live in Abingdon as well?

I live in what was a nice neighborhood near Upper Crossroads, one family moved in and ruined pretty much everything as far as being able to sell my house for a profit, They have let the property go to ruin and absolutely do nothing as far as maintenance. I feel like suing them for what they have done for property values. And yes, I believe they are from Edgewood. Complete white trash.

Nicole, Jason wasn't being obnoxious. He was both stating his opinion and what's unfortunately a fact. Edgewood, no matter how much new construction arises, is notorious for not being a favorite place to live. Jason's also correct about Abingdon, it used to be good as well and now it's questionable.
