BLOG: Welcome to the New Building/Remodeling Consumer How To Blog

For over 35 years I have had the extreme pleasure of helping families throughout Baltimore County design and build the homes and renovations of their dreams.  Along the way, serving as an industry leader in many capacities including President of the Home Builders Association of Maryland and the Remodelor’s Council, I have tried to raise the level of professionalism within the industry while helping to educate the home building and remodeling consumers so that they can make good decisions for their families.

I will be using this format to continue this goal to reach out to those in the community who are considering building or remodeling.  It is my intention to make this blog a source of continuing valuable information that you can use to gain a better understanding of the construction process and techniques, as well as DIY projects and how to care for your home in the best way possible.

You will find future articles detailing every phase of the construction process from site selection, zoning, design, bidding, contracts and specifications, change orders, product selection, building techniques, green building, and more. There will also be information to help you preserve the investments you have made into your home and details on projects that you may choose to do yourself.

It has always been my belief that a more educated consumer can make the best decisions. This principle is what led me to create this blog. I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you for visiting; we hope to see you again soon!
