Tracy Hart To “Rappel for Kidney Health”

The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) will hold its fifth annual Rappel for Kidney Health signature event, Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, at Charm City’s tallest hotel, the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront (700 Aliceanna St.).

Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Tracy Hart will be among the participants in the 28-story adventure from the hotel roof to the fifth floor pool deck, will be

A celebrity VJ, Hart is a highly recognized syndicated radio and television personality who won national acclaim for programs such as “Inside APG.”

She currently is general manager of the KHZ Network, which includes 810 WYRE Annapolis/Baltimore, 970 WAMD Harford County, and 1460 WKHZ Eastern Shore.

Her performing experience includes a daily radio and internet TV program, radio and TV commercial performances, and countless emcee appearances throughout the state including the nationally televised Military Bowl Parade.

A featured keynote speaker at several conferences, she also writes a regular feature column for Harford Style magazine and The Examiner online. She has prior rappelling experience as an Air Force Auxiliary Captain. 

“I am honored to demonstrate the kind of courage that those suffering from kidney disease demonstrate on a daily basis,” said Hart, who lives with her four children in Abingdon.

She will join such other sports and media personalities participating in the event as:

Event Details
Funds raised through Rappel for Kidney Health will directly support NKF-MD’s patient services, education and research efforts in the area of kidney and urinary tract diseases. Historically, Rappel for Kidney Health events have created an unbelievable amount of excitement, drawing more than 250 participants and raising over $440,000.

Rappel for Kidney Health is organized by Over the Edge (www.overtheedgeusa.com), a special events company that provides signature events for non-profit organizations in North America and is expanding globally.

Over the Edge is responsible for all technical aspects of the event including the insurance, professional staff and rappelling equipment, and it also provides a comprehensive event manual with tools for conducting a successful fundraising event.
