Another Delay for Route 24 Overpass

Potential inclement weather has pushed back the projected opening date again.

The has been , according to a release from the Maryland Department of Transportation:

From MdTA spokeswoman Teri Moss:

Due to inclement weather predicted for Monday, the new MD 24 bridge over MD 924 (Emmorton Road) and Tollgate Road is currently scheduled to open by 5 a.m. Wednesday. This includes new traffic patterns on the ramps from both directions of Interstate 95 to MD 24 and MD 924 (Exits 77A and 77B).

To prepare for the opening, lane closures and traffic drags are scheduled to take place on MD 24, MD 924 and I-95 from approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday. During the traffic drags, police will bring vehicles to a reduced pace prior to the work zone. 

In the event of inclement weather Tuesday night, the opening will be delayed to Thursday.
