As Ravens Play, Adopt Pets For $52 In Harford County

The Humane Society of Harford County has discounted prices with a nod to Ray Lewis.

With their feathered friends in mind, the Humane Society of Harford County has discounted prices on pet purchase this weekend.

As No. 52 Ray Lewis and the Ravens visit Denver for a playoff clash with the Broncos, Harford County residents can take advantage of $52 adoptions.

The deal applies to any adult cat or dog (one year or older). The fee includes rabies vaccination, distemper shots, de-wormer, flea and tick preventative, indentification microchip and an exam, according to a release from the organization.

The special, which began Friday, runs through Sunday. Regular pricing for adoption is between $75 and $95 for adult cats, and $95 and $160 for adult dogs.

If the pet being adopted is not spayed or neutered, a $50 deposit for a Harford Animal Sterilization Program certificate is required. But the fee is refunded after completion of the procedure, according to the society.

Sticking with the Ravens theme: anyone wearing purple will receive a free gift when they adopt, the society said.

The Humane Society of Harford County is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
