Bel Air First Fridays Kick Off This Week

The Route 66 Band is slated to perform during the First Fridays event May 4.

returns for the 2012 season this week with live music and a beer and wine garden in downtown Bel Air.

The free event is put on by on the first Friday of every month from May through October.

From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, the community is invited to gather for a block party at the corner of Office and Main streets.

The Route 66 Band is scheduled to perform. In addition to live music, the event offers a beer and wine garden, a menu from Main Street Tower, treats from Rita’s Italian Ice in Forest Hill and face painting from Bambini Family Entertainment.

Admission to the event is free.

In case of rain, will host First Fridays with food and drink specials and the scheduled band performing there.

Following the First Fridays event is "First Fridays After Dark" which includes discounted drink and food specials at to anyone wearing a First Fridays’ wristband.
