Get Healthy in Harford on Saturday

The Healthy Restaurant Designation Program will be unveiled during Healthy Harford Day on Saturday.

Healthy Harford is looking to change the way you dine out by unveiling a new Healthy Restaurant Designation Program at Healthy Harford Day on Saturday.

The annual event, held at the Bel Air Farmer's Market, is designed to raise awareness about Healthy Harford’s mission, as well as services, policies, and programs in the community to help residents get and stay healthy.

This year, Healthy Harford will also introduce its new Healthy Restaurant Designation Program. The initiative is designed to help make it easier for Harford County residents to eat healthy while dining out.

The restaurant program recognizes restaurants that meet "healthy criteria."

According to event organizers, this year’s Healthy Harford Day will
include free exercise classes provided by The Arena Club, health screening by Upper Chesapeake HealthLink, walk analysis by Charm City Run, boot camp circuit course courtesy of the Y of Maryland, and free bicycle helmets and fitting provided by Healthy Harford and the Greg Krause Helmet Foundation.

To learn more about the Healthy Restaurant Designation program, join Healthy Harford for Healthy Harford Day on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Bel Air Farmers’ Market.
