Winter Storm Watch in Harford, 5 Inches of Snow Possible

Super Bowl Sunday could get slippery.

Temperatures stayed above freezing Saturday but the weekend weather will not remain warm for long, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter storm watch for Harford County and the entire Baltimore-Washington area.
The forecast called for rain Sunday afternoon, changing to snow overnight.

Five inches of snow—or more—may accumulate, the weather service said.

A winter storm watch means there is potential for significant accumulations of snow, sleet or ice that could make travel hazardous, the weather service reported.

Temperatures will fall below freezing Monday, with roads becoming snow-covered and slippery before the morning commute, according to the weather service.

The heaviest period of snow will be Monday morning, the weather service reported.
