Utility Problem Shut Down Route 924 Sunday
The road was closed in both directions for utility work.
All lanes of Emmorton Road, or MD Route 924, were closed Sunday afternoon for water main repair.
The Bel Air Police Department said that its office was notified of the situation Sunday morning, and crews were at work on the issue. Police said that the State Highway Administration was handling the matter.
Route 924 was closed between St. Mary's Church Road and Wheel Road at 6:52 a.m. Sunday for a utility problem, according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team. By Sunday evening, the road had reopened.
Some residents reported that while repairs were going on, they lost water, but it had come back on Sunday afternoon.
