Orioles Seek Nominations for Veterans, Current Service Members

Thirty current or former service members will be honored at the All-Star Game in New York in July.

The Baltimore Orioles are asking fans to nominate a veteran or a currently-serving soldier as part of a tribute across Major League Baseball.

The Tribute for Heroes contest will bring one active or veteran service member representing each major league team to the All-Star Game at Citi Field in New York on July 16. Nominations must be made on the contest's website by May 16. In a release, the Orioles encouraged fans to share information about their service member's accomplishments and community service.

The Orioles also offer ticket discounts and other deals for active and former service members.
