Passport Office Opens at Bel Air Library

The Bel Air Library is a designated U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Facility.

The Bel Air branch of Harford County Public Library now has a place where people can get their passports.

On the mezzanine level, the library has opened a Passport Office, according to a statement Harford County Public Library released Monday, Nov. 18.

The new office will offer passport photograph service, passport book and card application acceptance, extra visa pages, expedited service and renewal services.

As a designated U.S. Department of State Passport Acceptance Facility, the Bel Air Library is the only branch in the library system that offers this service. Other locations that provide passport assistance in Harford County are post offices.

The Bel Air Library's Passport Office will be open from 3 to 7 p.m., Monday to Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday. No appointment is necessary, according to the library, which said that it will provide pagers to people if there is a wait. The Bel Air Library's Passport Office is located at 100 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Bel Air.
