BGE: More Than 850 Power Outages Between Edgewood and Joppa
Just before 5 p.m., a series of outages was reported.
More than 850 people were without power in Edgewood Saturday afternoon, according to BGE.
The utility company's outage map showed that an outage was reported at 4:48 p.m. Saturday off Judy Way near US Route 40.
The cause of the outage was unknown, and it affected 861 customers, according to BGE, which reported that a repair crew was on the way and estimated restoration time was 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
Approximately seven other pockets of customers were affected on Route 40 between Edgewood and Joppa. All of the incidents were reported just before 5 p.m. Saturday and were still being investigated.
