Powerball Climbs to $400 Million

The Powerball jackpot is now $400 million and the next drawing is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The Powerball jackpot continues to climb this week after a long string of drawings without a winner.

No one matched the winning numbers in the Saturday, Aug. 3, Powerball drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery. 

The Powerball jackpot is now $400 million. The cash payout value would be $230.3 million, according to powerball.com.

The increase makes this jackpot the third largest Powerball jackpot and the fourth largest overall jackpot in history, the Maryland Lottery announced Monday.

The next drawing is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The Maryland Lottery is one of 45 lotteries nationwide that participate in the Powerball drawing.

Powerball tickets can be purchased at any lottery vendor in and around Bel Air, including the following top vendors:

  • Beverage Barn on Emmorton Road in Abingdon
  • Exxon on MacPhail Road in Bel Air
  • Redner's Market on Fountain Green Road in Hickory
  • Wine World on Constant Friendship Boulevard in Abingdon
  • 7Eleven locations on Churchville and Conowingo roads in Bel Air
