Superstorm Sandy: One Year Later

Where were you during the storm?

If you think about where you were this time last year, memories of sitting inside, in the dark, watching the rain fall probably fill your mind.

Superstorm Sandy hit landfall on Oct. 29, 2012, and killed 117 people in the United States, according to US NewsThe storm was characterized as one of the most destructive in U.S. history.

In Maryland, a 73-year-old man was killed in Pasadena when a tree fell on his house.

In the Bel Air area, Sandy caused downed power lines, and many residents were without power for days—some even a week. The Festival at Bel Air shopping center was closed for some time following the storm, as many businesses were without power.

Throughout the county, Havre de Grace saw flooding, and Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen sustained some damage.

Where were you during the storm? How long did you lose power? Tell us in the comments.
