The next few days in Bel Air are going to be colder and wetter than a dog's nose

Harford County is under a winter storm watch from 9 a.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday. A winter storm watch means there's potential for "significant snow, sleet and ice accumulations that may impact travel," according to the National Weather Service.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 to 1.5 inches of snow may fall in Bel Air, according to the weather service, which said Sunday may go something like this:

  • Before noon—snow
  • Noon to 4 p.m.—sleet and snow
  • 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.—freezing rain and sleet
  • 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday—rain or freezing rain
One to two inches of snow and sleet and at least a quarter-inch of ice may accumulate Sunday night and into Monday.
