Bel Air Announces 2013 Christmas Parade Award Winners

The scouts cleaned up at the December parade.

The Bel Air Christmas parade included dozens of organizations and hundreds of people, and it was up to a panel of judges on Main Street to rate the best.

According to Bel Air Christmas Celebration Committee Chairman Michael Blum, the judges identified the following winners:

  • First place went to Cub Scout Troop 830 "Gone Fishin'!"
  • Second place went to Girl Scouts Service Unit 678 and Troops 1153, 1842 and 4225.
  • Third place went to the Edgewood High School Marching Band.
  • Honorable mentions went to Kinetic Youth Academy, Fan Man/Bus Boys Ravens Nest #1 and Michael Rosman's Stilts Walkers "Snow Flakes."
"Judges Angela EavesBeth BowenYolanda CurtinSusan Hazlett and Mimi Cooper, assisted by [Bel Air's Director of Economic Development] Trish Heidenreich, presided at the Reviewing Stand, where Tracy Hart from WAMD-AM did a wonderful job narrating the proceedings," Blum wrote in a letter of thanks after the Dec. 1 parade.
