Bel Air's Sweetest Event: Downtown Bel Air Chocolate Festival

Chocolate lovers flocked to Bel Air's Main Street.

People were waiting outside the doors of the Bel Air Reckord Armory recently to start the day off on a sweet note.

The Downtown Bel Air Chocolate Festival—which attracted 1,800 to 2,000 people—began at 10 a.m. Saturday and a line had formed before it began, The Aegis reported.

It was the last chocolate festival for Bel Air Downtown Alliance Executive Director Scott Walker, who is moving on to be director of training and development at MaGerk's. The alliance is currently seeking a new executive director.

For the Bel Air business organization, this year's festival marked the thirteenth year of celebrating chocolate. The Aegis reported all proceeds from the $5 admission ticket goes back into investing in the downtown district.

Did you miss the festival? Not to worry, if you don't mind a drive; the Annapolis Chocolate Festival is May 8.

Chocolate lovers can also get their fix close to home at Wockenfuss Candy, All About Cookies or Moore's Candies—they were all at the chocolate festival.
