Harford Sings!

Harford Sings! is bringing together more than one hundred singers from across Harford County for a celebration of choral music to benefit the Center for the Arts. The concert, which will take place June 11 at 7 p.m. at Patterson Mill Middle/High School, will
feature highlights from the repertoire of eight talented choral groups, including the Avondell Singers, Bay Country Gentlemen, Bel Air Community Chorus, Deer Creek Chorale, Harford Choral Society, Susquehanna Singers, Upper Chesapeake Chorus and Vocal Obsession. Rick Taylor, Master Director of the Upper Chesapeake Chorus, will serve as emcee of the event. Suggested donation for a ticket to Harford Sings! is $10.00. Advance tickets are available by calling 410-838-2177 or emailing Rebecca@CenterForTheArtsHarford.org.

“We are honored to have such talented musical groups gather together to help support the mission of the Center for the Arts," said Sallee Kunkel Filkins, Executive Director of the Center for the Arts. “We envision the Center for the Arts as a catalyst for the creative energies of arts groups throughout the county."

The funds raised will benefit the Center for the Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a regional arts center in Harford County. Currently, the Center for the Arts operates from Tudor Hall, but hopes to secure a permanent home accessible to all, to present, exhibit and educate in the disciplines of dance, theatre, music, literary and visual arts pursuits. The Center for the Arts is assisted by grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Harford County Government through the Harford County Cultural Arts Board.
