Festival for the Arts Comes to Bel Air Sept. 15

The 48th annual festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. behind the Bel Air Town Hall on Hickory Avenue.

Bel Air will be bursting with creativity on September 15 when the 48th annual Festival for the Arts comes to town.

There will be 350 booths of fine art, photography and crafts displayed at the event, according to a release. Visitors can enjoy exhibitors from Maryland and nine other states.

The event is the largest single fundraiser for Parks and Recreation. Money earned through the sale of a wide-variety of festival foods and beverages benefit many of the programs enjoyed by Harford County residents of all ages.

The Bel Air Festival for the Arts features live entertainment on the Band Shell stage, as well as roving entertainers. Diane Lyn, local radio personality, will be near the playground area from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. welcoming guests.

There will be free shuttle bus service from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. taking people from the MVA parking lot on route 24 to the festival and back. All-day parking will be available at the Bel Air Parking Garage on Hickory Avenue with a $2 donation to the Bel Air Police Auxiliary. Admission to the Bel Air Festival for the Arts is free—rain or shine.
