Meet The Author: A Family's Journey Through the Holocaust

Local professor and author, Dr. Rebecca Boehling, will share with Bel Air residents the inspiration for her book on one family's life before, during and after the Holocaust.

Boehling will discuss the book she co-authored, Life and Loss in the Shadow of the Holocaust.
The book is a compilation of one family's letters and interviews put together in a narrative form to become a "fascinating and deeply moving book and is an account of the Kaufmann-Steinberg family’s life before, during, and after the Holocaust," according to a release from the Library.

The meet-the-author event is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the , 525 W. MacPhail Road in Bel Air.
Boehling is the founding director of UMBC Dresher Center for the Humanities and teaches courses in modern European history at the university.
